Human Resource Development (HRD) plays an essential role in the development process of a country. Therefore, the Colombo Plan endeavour to develop Human Resource Development initiatives in the member countries through its capacity building programs. The Colombo Plan provides short-term training courses, workshops, scholarships and Master Degree programs under the wing of its capacity building program. All activities are fully or partially funded on cost sharing basis by donors in the Colombo Plan member countries and some other International Organizations.
